“Bosphorus Gaz Cup” Has Been Held

logoThe 4th  “Bosphorus Gaz Cup” football tournament which becomes a traditional organization of our Company was accomplished successfully this year. Since everything was planned to the finest detail, our successful organization won plenty of appreciation and tributes from our foreign guests. Together with the nice weather and wonderful nature of Bodrum, we achieved an excellent result.

On this wise the Board of Directors meeting was also held in Bodrum. Subsequent to the BoD meeting held on October 25, the organization officially started when the Russian team with the leadership of Mr. Alexander Medvedev arrived in Yalıçiftlik Kempinski Hotel. The football team players of Bosphorus Gaz, Gazprom Export and Schalke 04 and the employees of the companies gathered together in the “Gala Dinner”. Following an amusing and friendly dinner, football players left to rest for the tough football matches to be played on the  next day.

The tournament started on October 26, at 9:00 O’Clock with Bosphorus Gaz – Schalke 04 match and the results of the other matches are as follows;

Gazprom Export 2-2 Schalke 04

With these scores, Gazprom Export became the champion with 4 points, our team held the second place with 3 points and Schalke held the third place with 1 point.

Russian team was delighted with the championship. Chairman of Board of Directors, Mr. Ali Şen presented the championship cup to Gazprom Export and the Russian Team celebrated their championship on the stage with champagne. After the prize ceremony and presentation of plaques and gifts to participants, barbeque party was held for lunch and teams returned to the hotel.

In the evening, all teams are transferred with a yacht to the Bodrum Marina Yacht Club for party. Our guests relived tiredness of the tough football games and enjoyed the night. The next day all teams returned back, stating that they are looking forward to participating to our tournament that will be organized next year.
